Born in Melbourne’s inner south-eastern suburbs, Nathan's work Inspired by his mother’s collections of photographs taken during road trips across Australia, of long gone years, beautifully kept gardens and weatherboard houses,

and his father’s boxes filled with slide film photos captured during his tour in the Vietnam war, Nathan’s photographic work is filed with nostalgia, longing and serendipity. 

Nathan’s photographic work is a variety of chronicle familiar environments and the always-evolving landscapes of cities and regional towns, documenting history and current events as it happens, while in the process, building his archives of Australiana for future generations to one day reflect on.
